Around the World in 80 Days

I thought about creating a network of old friends, relatives and acquaintances located all over the world who would help me in
making a box travel. This box will reach small towns and cities where someone has agreed to ship it to the next location. As a
prototype, I am going to use a cardboard box and possibly house the tracking-logging device into a stuffed animal. The device
will not only record the GPS coordinates onto SD card, but will also record how 'rough' of a journey it actually has. The data is
later mapped on Google Earth to show the complete travel. Inspired by the book of the same name and by those technological
breakthroughs that allowed around-the-world travel, this collaborative interactive piece wants to take advantage of our newest
technologies to help reconnect people with people, in a different kind of way.
